Directions from Austin: Take US Highway 290 West towards Johnson City and Fredericksburg. About one mile after Hye, TX (immediately after the 70 MPH speed limit sign), turn right onto Park Road 1. Continue about 1.8 miles to the entrance of the National Park on your right. Cross over the Pedernales River and follow the traffic directions to the airstrip. (About 1.25 hours from downtown Austin.)
Directions from San Antonio: Take US Highway 281 North to Johnson City, turn left onto US Highway 290 West toward Fredericksburg. About one mile after Hye, TX (immediately after the 70 MPH speed limit sign), turn right onto Park Road 1. Continue about 1.8 miles to the entrance of the National Park on your right. Cross over the Pedernales River and follow the traffic directions to the airstrip. (About 1.5 hours from downtown San Antonio.)
Directions from Fredericksburg: Take US Highway 290 East toward Johnson City. About 3 miles after Stonewall, TX, and a mile past the entrance to the LBJ State Park, turn left after the rest area onto Lower Albert Road. At Park Road 1, turn right and proceed a half mile to the entrance to the National Park on your left. Cross over the Pedernales River and follow the traffic directions to the airstrip. (About 30 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg.)
